The Challenge

Before using Talentech, Kuehne+Nagel had different pre- and onboarding processes across different countries and there was often a gap in communication between signing the contract and the new employees' first day.

Before using Talentech, Kuehne+Nagel's pre-start process lacked standardization with new hires often receiving minimal formal communication between signing the contract and their first day. As a result, the preboarding experience varied significantly depending on the individual approaches of country managers. This inconsistency in the quality and effectiveness of the preboarding process was a major challenge for the organization.

 

 

Adding to the complexity of the situation was Kuehne+Nagel's size, with a presence in over 100 countries requiring tailored experiences to meet cultural and geographical differences. The Kuehne+Nagel team recognized that they could provide a significantly better onboarding experience if they could standardize their processes whilst still allowing for personalization on a more local level. By doing so, Kuehne+Nagel hoped to better support their new hires during this important phase and ensure their successful integration into the team.
